Your skills give you a foundation, but waiting for complete certainty may keep you still. The Magician invites you to use what you already have to test a possibility before making a larger commitment.

A MOMENT FOR YOURSELF
Start with one question
You do not need to know the cards or choose a spread in advance. Ask about a relationship, your work, or a decision you are considering. Your reader will suggest a way to explore it.
An online tarot reading should leave you with something you can consider, not just a list of card meanings. Fate & Stars combines the Rider–Waite–Smith deck with AI interpretation, guided by your question and each card’s position.
The reader first considers your question, then recommends a one-card or three-card spread. You can review the positions before beginning.
Choose and reveal your own cards
Explore all 78 shuffled card backs and select them in order. Each card keeps its assigned position and orientation throughout the reading.
Keep the conversation going
Ask follow-up questions using the same cards. If a specific point needs more clarity, you can explicitly draw up to two additional cards.
YOUR READING, STEP BY STEP
How your online tarot reading works
01
Ask what is on your mind
Give a little context and name the question you want to explore. The reader may ask for one clarification before suggesting a spread.
02
Confirm a spread and draw
Review what each position represents, take a breath, and choose your cards. Your selection order determines where the cards fall.
03
Read, reflect and follow up
Explore each card and how the cards connect. Continue in the same conversation to consider your next step or clarify an interpretation.
TAROT AND YOUR QUESTIONS
A little understanding
MEET THE DECK
What is tarot?
Tarot uses illustrated cards as prompts for reflection. The Rider–Waite–Smith system contains 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. The major cards describe broad themes; the minor cards explore everyday experiences through Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles.
ASK WITH INTENTION
How do I ask a good tarot question?
Specific, open questions usually give a reading more context. Instead of “Will everything work out?”, try “What should I understand about this situation?” or “What can I do to move forward?” For two choices, describe both options. You can ask a yes-or-no question too, but its answer is a tendency, not a guarantee.
UNDERSTAND THE CARDS
What do upright and reversed cards mean?
An upright card is read in its usual orientation; a reversed card appears upside down. Reversed does not automatically mean bad. It may suggest an inward experience, a delay, an imbalance, or an energy that is difficult to express. Both are interpreted in relation to your question and the card’s position.

Frequently asked questions
Reading, card selection and privacy, explained.
Can I try an online tarot reading without an account?+
Yes. Start a free reading directly on the homepage without signing up. A daily protective allowance applies; the tool shows your remaining readings and reset time. Follow-up questions and clarification cards require an active subscription. 1 free reading per day. Subscribe for unlimited readings, follow-up questions and clarification cards.
Do I need to know tarot before I begin?+
No. Your reader recommends a spread and explains its positions before you choose the cards. The interpretation connects the card meanings to your question, so you do not need to memorize the deck.
Does an AI tarot reading predict the future?+
A reading offers possibilities and a perspective for reflection, not a guaranteed prediction. It cannot establish what another person thinks or replace your judgement. Your choices and changing circumstances matter.
How are my tarot cards chosen?+
The complete 78-card deck is shuffled by the application before selection, with upright and reversed orientations. You choose card-back positions, and the application reveals the cards at those positions. The AI interprets the actual cards; it does not choose or replace them.
Can I ask follow-up questions or draw another card?+
An active subscription unlocks follow-up answers using your existing reading and conversation. If you want to clarify a specific point, ask a clarification question and explicitly draw an additional card from the remaining deck. A reading allows up to two clarification cards.
Where is my reading saved?+
Guest readings are saved for 30 days and linked to this browser. When you sign in, these readings are added to your account history so you can revisit them on another device. Clearing browser cookies before signing in can lose access to guest records. Necessary question and conversation context is sent to the configured AI provider to generate answers.
What happens if an interpretation fails?+
You can retry with the same cards. A failed AI response does not reshuffle the deck or change the card positions and orientations.
Can tarot guide medical, legal or investment decisions?+
Tarot is for reflection and entertainment. It should not replace professional medical, legal or financial advice. Bring those questions to an appropriately qualified professional.
